Buchanan Elementary School second graders hold their ears while members of the Buchanan Artillery re-enactment group fires their cannon during a demonstration Friday at the start of Buchanan’s Civil War History Weekend. The students got to visit with re-enactors, learn about how soldiers lived during the Civil War and about life on the homefront. The weekend continued with a variety of other activities.
