The Dixie League District 7 O-Zone baseball tournament will begin this Friday night at Wade Park in Franklin County. The O-Zone tournament is for 12 and under boys.

Salem will open the tournament Friday night at 8 pm against Craig County. That follows a 6 pm game between Vinton and North Roanoke. Host Franklin County has a first round bye.

If Salem wins Friday night the All-Stars would get Saturday off and rejoin the field on Sunday. If the Salemites lose Friday they would be back in Franklin County for a 2 pm game Saturday afternoon. The tournament is double elimination and runs through Wednesday, June 27.

The Dixie AAA District 7 tournament, for 10 and under boys, is scheduled to begin on Friday, June 29, at Vinyard Park in Vinton. Glenvar is included in this tournament along with Salem, North Roanoke, Franklin County and host Vinton.

The Roanoke Area Youth Softball Association(RAYSA) tournaments are scheduled to begin this Sunday and run through June 30, with most of the games at the James I. Moyer Complex in Salem. The brackets were not available as of press time.
