The items in the boxes were donated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and were delivered to Diane Rose (left), Principal of East Salem Elementary. Jennifer Brown (right), a member of Voices of Faith, delivered the boxes.

The Roanoke Valley interfaith group Voices of Faith consists of a group of members of various religions throughout the Roanoke Valley. Those participating are members of the Catholic Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Episcopalian, Jewish, Lutherans, Methodist, Muslim, Presbyterian and Unitarian Churches. John and Katie Zawacki lead the group.

Annually, members are encouraged to request specific items from their congregations that will be donated to a few local elementary schools in the Roanoke Valley for children in need.
