We have our first tie of the season. And as such, we’ll have a runoff this week.
Dean Dorothy and Wayne Dillman, two faithful contestants, tied for the lead last week with three misses each. The high point total was 56 by Salem against Patrick Henry, and both Dean and Wayne picked 58 as the high point total.
So, we’ll have two winners after this week’s games. I’ll pull out Dean and Wayne’s picks for this week, and the better of the two will be the winner for the games in the October 5th paper. Of course, they’re eligible to win this week as well.
For last week’s “One for the Road” question I asked you to pick the score of the Green Bay-Dallas game, which was advertised as “America’s Game.” Well, I guess Green Bay is now officially “America’s Team,” as the Packers beat Dallas again, this time by a score of 35-31. The closest to that score was Lukous Schultz of Craig Avenue in Salem who picked the Packers to win, 35-32, so he gets the atlas from Hettie Barnes of State Farm Insurance.
For this week’s “One for the Road” tell me if you think NFL players who protest during the anthem should be “Fired.” Tell me why think so, one way or the other, and my favorite answer will get an atlas.
