She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Fitzgerald Sr.; parents, Bobby and Viola McCulloch.
She is survived by her sons, Leonard “Bugs” Fitzgerald and Bobby “BJ” Fitzgerald; daughter, Melissa Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Austin Fitzgerald, Byron Smith, Thomas Fitzgerald, Lexie and Li Li Fitzgerald; brothers, Bobby McCulloch, Roger “Wild Man” McCulloch and Jay McCulloch; sisters, Kathy Nemeth and Brenda Poole; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held at 6 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2017 in the Buchanan Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Woody officiating. A reception followed for family and friends in the church fellowship hall. Memorial donations may be made to League for Animal Protection, P.O. Box 561, Fincastle, 24090.
