To celebrate its new Community Art Show, the Salem Museum is offering a special day of creative, hands-on art fun!
On Saturday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors to the Salem Museum will be able to meet artists who will be providing demonstrations of their artform, including some who will be offering hands-on opportunities for visitors of all ages to try it out for themselves.
Featured artists who are participating all day include the Blue Ridge Potters Guild with hands-on clay and Bonnie Scott of Joyful Adornments demonstrating glass blowing. Check the Salem Museum’s website at SalemMuseum.org for the complete schedule.
Hands-On Art Day is the opening day for the Celebrate Salem Community Art Show, which opens July 14, and runs through September 6. The ArtShow and prizes, including a People’s Choice Award, are generously sponsored by Bill and Ellen Arnold. Voting for the People’s Choice Awards will take place from July 14 through July 28, with one vote per visitor per day.
Admission to the Celebrate Salem Art Show is free, but donations are appreciated.
