Glenvar High School graduating seniors Kelsey Hager, in left photo, and Madilyn Wheeler each receive $500 scholarships from the Glenvar Rotary Club, presented by Glenvar Rotary Incoming President John King at the GHS awards ceremony on May 29.

Selection of scholarship recipients is based on part on service in the community, in keeping with Rotary International’s slogan of “Service Above Self.” Both young women will be attending the University of Virginia.

King also presented his company’s scholarships, the King’s Hauling & Excavating 2018 Service Scholarship Awards, to Jensen Roberts and John Shaffer.
