The Glenvar track team competed in the Buffalo Invitational at Floyd County last Friday and did well, as the boys took fourth and the girls were seventh.
Dustin Wade took a first place for the boys team in the 800 and the 4×400 relay team also won with the foursome of Wade, Jack Leonard, Mark Linkous, and Kilian McCroskey. Seconds went to Leonard in the 300 hurdles, McCroskey in the 400 and Chris Herrington in the 100, and Cody Gibson took a third in the 300 hurdles.
For the girls, Rachel Millirons was fifth in the 3,200 and Brooklyn Moorman took a fifth in both the 100 and 300 hurdles.
Glenvar was scheduled to compete at Radford on Wednesday of this week, and on Saturday the Highlanders are entered in the Blacksburg Invitational.
