Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement after the Office of National Drug Control Policy awarded a $50,000 grant to the Prevention Council of Roanoke County:

“I congratulate the Prevention Council of Roanoke County for winning this $50,000 grant after participating in a competitive process. Those of us on the House Energy and Commerce Committee worked to provide more resources to communities in the fight against drug abuse, which resulted in the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA) signed into law in 2016. I am glad that the resources we authorized in CARA are supporting efforts in our neighborhoods to prevent youth substance abuse.”
