Dave Seidell will be Breakthrough T1D Walk Emcee again this year. Here he is with Rufus, the BT1D mascot, and Michael the Giant stiltwalker.

Sally Southard, Contributing writer

Join us for the Breakthrough T1D Walk, formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Walk, on Sunday, April 16, at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium.

Meet other people who have Type 1 Diabetes and help raise funds for research for a cure.

Following the walk there will be an after-party with music, dancing, animal balloons, a stilt walker, local sports mascots, door prizes and cashless concessions.

The Lions Kids Zone will offer activities for children before and after the walk.

Check-in will be at 1 p.m., followed by the program at 1:30 and walk at 2 p.m. The after-party will be from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

Registration is free at BreakthroughT1D.org/walk. For more information, contact Sara Bell at sarambell61@yahoo.com.
