Kenneth R. “Kenny” White, of Salem, Virgina, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, at the age of 75.
Born on June 28, 1950, in Bedford, Virginia, Kenneth lived a full and vibrant life rooted in family, tradition, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Known affectionately as Kenny or by his nickname “Frostline,” he was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His love for hunting and fishing was more than just a pastime—it was a way of connecting with nature and spending meaningful time with those around him.
Whether casting a line into still waters or tracking game through the woods, Kenny embraced these moments with quiet passion and skill. Kenny shared his life with his beloved wife, Carolyn White of over 50 years. Together they built a strong and loving family that brought him immense pride and happiness. He was a devoted father to Ken White and Chris White. His sons’ families were a source of great joy to him: Ken’s wife Raquel, and their daughter Gabi; Chris’s wife Cherri, and their children Carolyne, Emalee, Samual, and Zakary. Kenny cherished each of his grandchildren and took great pleasure in watching them grow.
He is also remembered by his brother Robert White and family and sister Carol Lewis. Kenny held close the bonds of family throughout his life.
He now joins in rest his sister Betty Hull and brother David White. Kenny was passionate about his trade. After graduating Arnold Burton Vocational Tech, Kenny went on to begin a career of 50+ years working for Drill Carrier, Gardner Denver, Reedrill and eventually retiring from Tread Corp.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire stories shared around campfires and dinner tables for years to come. www.mitchellatrmp.com.
