I am passionate about getting big money out of politics, protecting and expanding voting rights, ending gerrymandering or other democratic reforms.

It is essential for candidates to be on the record about what they would do about democratic reform. Please look up your candidates. See if they even bother to register their opinions on the issues that matter. Check out Votesmart. org and google “Common Cause Our Democracy 2018” and click on “Find Your Candidates.” Do it right now. Don’t wait until November 6! The last day to register to vote is October 15. Virginia offers online voter registration. You can register to vote by mail in Virginia by printing a copy of the National Voter Registration Form, filling it out and mailing it to your local election office. You can also register to vote in person if you prefer. Election Day is Tuesday, November 6.

•The deadline to register online is Monday, October 15.

•The deadline for registering to vote by mail is Monday, October 15.

•The deadline to register to vote in person is Monday, October 15.

Please do your part to exercise your right to vote. We need you. Democracy is not a spectator sport. If you are not at the table, you are on the menu. Do you know where your polling place is? If you are working on Tuesday, November 6, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., please put October 15 on your calendar to go (or online) fill out an absentee ballot (October 15-November 3). You can even vote early in person at your voter’s registration office until 5 p.m. the Saturday before the Election. We need you to educate your vote. No excuses!
