The Andrew Lewis eighth grade football team remained undefeated with a 27-0 win over Christiansburg on Monday in Christiansburg. Lewis is now 5-0.
The Wolverines hosted Hidden Valley at Salem Stadium last Thursday and rolled to a 38-8 win. Special teams played a significant role in the win with Cam Leftwich returning a Hidden Valley kickoff for a touchdown. Other touchdowns were scored by Steven Penn, Hunter Bayne, Owyn Dawyot, and Cam Leftwich.
The eighth graders will host Clifton Forge at Spartan Field today. Next week they’re at Pulaski County on Monday and home to Cave Spring, at Spartan Field, a week from today.
The Lewis seventh grade team also picked up a win this week. The Wolverines defeated Craig County’s eighth grade team, 6-0.
