Lewis wins track meet at Salem High, back today

The Andrew Lewis track teams defeated Blacksburg, Christiansburg and William Byrd Middle Schools last Thursday at Salem High.

The girls were led by double winner My’La Green, who won the 100 meter hurdles and the triple jump.  Kaitlyn Creger won the High Jump, while Kaitlyn Crumpacker won the 1,600 meter run.

The 3,200 meter relay team of Crumpacker, Zoe Prosser, Emily Johnson and Elizabeth Collins were winners as were the 1,600 meter relay team of Crumpacker, Johnson, Mariah Gahl and Kenley Coleman  The 400 meter relay team of Green, Creger, Neelah Logan and Zoe Robtison remain undefeated on the year .

The boys were led by double winner Jaimen Lingenfelter, who won both hurdle events.  George Copeland won the Discus and Noah Painter won the 200 meter dash.  The 3,200 meter relay team of Walker Petersen, Tommy Henzy, Alex Helems and Francisco Banuelos were winners while the 400 meter relay team of Lingenfelter, Boone Fleenor, Braydon Taylor and Zander Maples also claimed victory.

The teams are in action again today at Salem High School.
