The Roanoke Valley Aquatic Association regular season will come to end Monday with the sixth and final Monday night meet.

Both local teams will be on the road Monday, as the Stonegate Swim team travels to Castle Rock and the Hidden Valley Country Club swimmers are at Forest Hills. The RVAA season will wrap up with the annual City/County meet at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center on July 28 and 29.

Last Monday Hidden Valley hosted Roanoke Country Club and Olympic Park while Stonegate was home to swim against Ashley Plantation. The Gators kept their dual record clean, with the exception of a first week loss to Hunting Hills, as they defeated Ashley 1,415 to 835.

“Each meet we are getting better and better and having less and less disqualifications, so it is great to see the team progressing,”  said coach Jake Van Roekel. “We are getting ready for our final dual meet and for City/County and we want to continue to improve so we can swim our best at our final meets.”

Stonegate highlights included Lin Daniel III, who placed 1st in the gold division of six and under boys in the 25 free in 27.60.  For the 6 and under girls, Grace Breedlove placed 1st in the bronze division in the 25 free in 37.33. Abby Shores placed 3rd in the same division and event in 44.38. Sarah Maloney placed 7th in the same division and event in a season best time of 56.89 and Garima Patel placed 8th in the same division and event in a season best time of 1:03.06.

For the 7-8 boys, Jacob Daniel placed 1st in the gold division of both the 25 free in 20.56 and the 100 IM in 2:02.67. Nicholas Fraticelli placed 1st in the silver division of the 25 free in 23.22 and 1st in the bronze division of the 100 IM in 2:35.92. Gavin Horner placed 4th in the bronze division of the 25 free in 28.92 and Austin Prosser placed 2nd in the silver division of the 100 IM in 2:27.12.

For the 7-8 girls, Macy McMahon placed 1st in the gold division of both the 25 free in 19.92 and the 100 IM in 1:58.25. Keeley Prosser placed 7th in the bronze division of the 25 free in 45.39 and 5th in the bronze division of the 100 IM in 4:03.65. Ashley Geary placed 4th in the bronze division of the 25 free in 34.22.

For the 9-10 boys, Connor Wilkes placed 1st in the gold division of both the 50 free in 33.96 and the 100 IM in 1:29.53. Grant Horner placed 1st in the silver division of the 50 free in 46.55 and 1st in the bronze division of the 100 IM in 2:15.51. Holden Custer placed 2nd in the bronze division of the 50 free in 54.02 and 5th in the bronze division of the 100 IM in 2:38.00

For the 9-10 girls, Ava Dalaski placed 2nd in the silver division of both the 50 free in 45.12 and the 100 IM in 1:56.71. Ashley Kay placed 3rd in the bronze division of the 50 free in 53.04 and 5th in the bronze division of the IM in 2:18.64. Tessa Yerton placed 9th in the bronze division of the 50 free in a season best time of 1:25.08 and 7th in the bronze division of the 100 IM in a season best time of 3:34.33.

For the 11-12 boys, Zach Easter placed 1st in the gold division of both the 50 free in 34.49 and the 100 IM in 1:33.36. Lucas Yerton placed 3rd in the silver division of the 50 free in 40.24 and Davis Griffith placed 1st in the bronze division of the 50 free in 44.25. Will Marable placed 5th in the silver division of the 100 IM in 1:48.69 and Zane Easter placed 2nd in the bronze division of the IM in 1:57.34.

For the 11-12 girls, Peyton Lawrence placed 1st in the gold division of both the 50 free in 33.75 and the 100 IM in 1:26.50. Jaedyn Jenkins placed 5th in the gold division of the 50 free in 37.10 and 2nd in the silver division of the 100 IM in 1:38.47. Laci Barnes placed 2nd in the silver division of the 50 free in 42.40 and 1st in the bronze division of the 100 IM in 2:02.80.

For the 13-14 boys, Rafe Scaggs placed 2nd in the gold division of the 50 free in 30.49 and 4th in the gold division of the 100 IM in 1:22.67. Jonathan Shenal placed 4th in the gold division of the 50 free in 31.49 and 2nd in the gold division of the 100 IM in 1:17.58. Nathan Snow placed 1st in the silver division of both the 50 free in 36.77 and the 100 IM in 1:34.41.

For the 13-14 girls, McKenna Habeeb placed 1st in the gold division of both the 50 free in 31.37 and the 100 IM in 1:23.73. Emily Snow placed 6th in the gold division of the 50 free in 33.50 and 4th in the gold division of the 100 IM in 1:28.67. Zoe Prosser placed 1st in the silver division of the 50 free in 36.16 and 2nd in the silver division of the 100 IM in 1:32.76.

For the 15-16 boys, James Miles placed 1st in the gold division of both the 50 free in 29.32 and the 100 IM in 1:14.48. Hayden Conner placed 3rd in the silver division of the 50 free in 37.71 and 1st in the bronze division of the 100 IM in 1:49.07.

For the 15-16 girls, Sandy James placed 1st in the gold division of both the 50 free in 32.38 and the 100 IM in 1:23.60. Sarah Kate Brownmiller placed 2nd in the gold division of both the 50 free in 35.37 and the 100 IM in 1:29.15.

For the 17-18 boys, Ben Shenal placed 1st in the gold division of both the 50 free in 28.62 and the 100 IM in 1:16.44. Garren Snow placed 2nd in the gold division of both the 50 free in 29.65 and the 100 IM in 1:23.42.

For the 17-18 girls, Abigail Crawford placed 3rd in the gold division of the 50 free in 35.71 and 2nd in the gold division of the 100 IM in 1:29.39. Abby Markham placed 1st in the silver division of both the 50 free in 38.67 and the 100 IM in 1:43.64.

Hidden Valley coach Robin Bowen was on vacation this week and Blue Wave results were not available.
