On Tuesday, the 12th day of November, 2024, the City Council of the City of Salem, Virginia, will hold a public hearing on the proposed issuance of general obligation public improvement bonds of the City in an estimated maximum principal amount of $3,700,000 for the purposes of (a) acquiring, constructing and equipping various capital improvements for the City’s water and wastewater systems, and (b) paying related issuance costs.  Such bonds will be secured by a pledge of the full faith and credit and taxing power of the City.

The public hearing, which may be continued or adjourned, will be held at 6:30 P.M., local time, or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 114 North Broad Street, Salem, Virginia 24153.  Interested persons may appear at such time and place and present their views.
