Elizabeth “Lib” Stinnett Brooks, 92, of Buchanan passed away, Tuesday, March 21, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jimmy” Brooks and son, Allen “Pedro” Brooks. Lib was the youngest and the last surviving of numerous brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Butch Schaffer of Buchanan; Pam Brooks and Mike Seibel of Eagle Rock; grandchildren, Kristie Fronk, CJ Schaffer, Tracy Brooks, and Chasity Moore; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Cindy Vines; brother-in-law, Ray Brooks; numerous nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Clarence Stinnett; and daughter-in-law, Pat Brooks.
Special thanks to her loving caregivers, Jenny Taylor, Carol Taylor, Twila Boyd, Amie Putnam, and Carilion Hospice for their wonderful care.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 25, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Marina Gopadze officiating. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery. Patricia Jane Crumpacker Brown, 76, of Richmond died Wednesday March 22, 2017.
She is survived by her son Kevin and his wife Pam, son Allen and his wife Robin and son Todd; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother, John E. Crumpacker (Sylvia); sister, Carolyn Gardner (Michael); sister-in-law Ann Brown.
A celebration service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 26 at the Salem Pavilion, Manakin, Va. A graveside service was held at Hampton Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, March 28 at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Building Fund, 1701 Cardwell Rd., Crozier, Va. 23039.
SMITH, Brenda N.
Brenda Nell Smith, 66, of Buchanan, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Kenneth Hyden, and granddaughter, Jaylen Hyden, all of Buchanan.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Wesley “Nubbin” Taylor.
