AARON, Frank L., Sr.
Frank Loyd Aaron Sr., 86, of Buchanan, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017.
Frank had served in the US Army during Korea. He had worked for Roanoke Cement, Owens-Illinois, and had retired from VDOT-Buchanan. Frank loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward James and Claudie Seay Aaron; brothers, Kenny and Leo Aaron; and sister-in-law, June Spangler Aaron.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Peggy Schilling Aaron; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Jeffrey Rothwell; son and fiancée, Beaver Aaron and Rebecca Hayslett; son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Amanda Aaron, all of Buchanan; sister, Margaret Fitzgerald of Waynesboro; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Penny Aaron of Eagle Rock, Bobby Aaron of Buchanan, Nadine Aaron, and Liz Aaron; brother-in-law, Wesley Schilling; and his grandchildren, Hope Elizabeth Aaron, Garrett Walker Aaron, Christina Aaron Rothwell, Kylee Grace Aaron, and Kendall Faith Aaron.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 6, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy L. Martin officiating. Interment followed in Springwood Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends Sunday, November 5, from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.

BOOZE, Webster E., Jr.
Webster E. Booze Jr. (Webbie), 81, of Buchanan was born on August 31, 1936 and passed away on November 4, 2017.
Webbie attended Roanoke College and went on to own and operate Buchanan Motor Company. He was a member of the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors and served on the Botetourt County School Board. He enjoyed attending church, singing, hunting, working on vehicles, and spending time with his family.
Webbie was preceded in death by his dear parents, Webster E. Booze Sr. and Anna Alphin Booze. Survivors include his children: Webster E. Booze III of Greeneville, Tenn., Anna Katherine Colton of Herndon, Whitney Elizabeth Sargent of North Vernon, Ind., Kristen Blair Rose of Buchanan; his grandchildren, Dawson Booze, William Booze, Steven Layman, John Boatman, Matthew Rose, Tara Colton, Brady Horton, Mark Sargent, Robert Sargent, and David Sargent; sister, Rebecca Wampler of New Jersey; brothers, Charles Booze of Pennsylvania and Dr. George Booze of Tennessee; and his former wife and friend, Kitty Sue Booze.
Funeral services will be held at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, on Sunday, November 12. Services will include a public visitation from 1-3 p.m. and a memorial service at 3 p.m., followed by a graveside burial at Fairview Cemetery in Buchanan. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Sonya, Sandy, and Jewel from Amedisys Hospice for the loving and attentive care they gave to Webbie. CAHOON, Cora L.
Cora Lucado Cahoon died November 4, 2017 at the age of 98.
She was preceded in death by her husband Owen Cahoon and her parents Edgar and Blanche Huddleston Lucado, also four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Cahoon and wife Judy of Cloverdale; daughter Teresa Rasnick and husband Dennis “Wayne” of Fincastle; three grandchildren Heather (Bryan) Harper of Knoxville, Tenn., Adriane (Darin) Alexander of Blue Ridge and Justin (Jenna) Rasnick of Fincastle; one great-grand child, Everett Rasnick; one sister, Geraldine Baker of Fincastle; Also, many nieces, nephews and good friends.
The family received friends Tuesday, November 7, from 6-8 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home, Daleville. A celebration of Cora’s life will be conducted at 11 a.m. November 8 at Rader Funeral Home with Pastor Jesse Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity Cemetery. HUNDLEY, Raymond E., Jr.
Raymond Eldridge Hundley Jr., 89, of Eagle Rock passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017.
Born in 1928 in Troutville, he was a graduate of Troutville High. He became an Eagle Scout and served in the Navy Reserves.
He was married to Faye Adamson of Fincastle in 1949 and headed to Eastern Virginia, where he served as a dairy tester for several years. Raymond later worked as a chemist at the Lone Star Cement Company, before working in forest management for Owens-Illinois and, subsequently, Westvaco.
Active in community service, Raymond served as Scoutmaster of Troop 2 in Clifton Forge, with all three sons eventually joining him in reaching the level of Eagle Scout. He was active member of the Ruritans and served on the Botetourt County Zoning Board of Appeals. With his love of the outdoors, Raymond was an avid hunter and conservationist, and even had the first patent on a portable tree stand.
The Hundleys have been good stewards of the land throughout the years. Together, they placed more than 600 acres of pristine wilderness in Conservation Easement with the State of Virginia.
An active member of Galatia Presbyterian Church, Raymond served as an elder.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond E. and Kathleen Octavia Hall Hundley; and sisters, Virginia Rae Woody, Jacqueline Rader Overstreet and Billy Joe Hundley.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Faye Adamson Hundley; sons, Robert Boyd Hundley, Raymond (Ridge) Eldridge Hundley III (Sarah), Stephen Adamson Hundley (Elaine), and daughter, Melissa Hundley; granddaughters, Teresa, Bethany, Kristin; grandsons, Scott, Rob, Adam, Brad, Matthew, and Liam; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Pat H. Osisek of Alexandria.
Faye would like to give special thanks to Vicky Dameron and Peggy Broughman for their devoted service, as well as Carilion Health Services of Lexington and Mountain Regional Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Eagle Rock Fire & Rescue Department, P.O. Box 234, Eagle Rock, 24085.

LUCADO, Mary Alice
Mary Alice Lucado, 81 of Roanoke died on November 4, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Jane Lucado Austin; her parents, Sobel Alexander Raulerson and Catherine Louise Dowling Raulerson.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis R. Lucado Sr., brother, Vasco (Buzzy) Raulerson and wife Joyce of Palm Bay, Fla.; daughter, Elizabeth Christy Lucado and husband, Keith Strachan; son, Curtis R. Lucado Jr.; grandchildren, Courtney Rose Lucado, Lakota Delaney Lucado, Lacey Rae Lucado, Mary Catherine Austin Brown and husband Stuart Brown, Natalie Marie Austin and friend, Chadwick Desseyn, Benjamin Lee Austin and wife, Taylor Austin; great grandchildren, Jack Thomas Brown, Ella Catherine Brown, Adalee Jane Brown, Tatum Lee Austin, and Silus Browning Austin.
During many good years at Lower Greyledge in Botetourt County, Mary Alice helped to start a kindergarten and Girl Scout troop at the church and participated in school and other Buchanan town activities. At retirement, Mary Alice and Curtis became “Snow Birds,” retaining their home in Roanoke and wintering at Barefoot Bench Club Condominiums in Bonita Springs, Fla. Upon arrival at Barefoot Beach, Mary Alice immediately became paramount in organizing the Condo Board of Directors for Club III. She served on the board for 20-plus years and when questions came up; the first response was to “Ask Mary Alice.”

WAGNER, Joyce
Joyce Wagner of Troutville died Thursday October 26, 2017 peacefully at Roanoke Memorial Hospital; she was age 77.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Wagner.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bill Wagner of Troutville; daughter, Kimberly Wagner Helbling, son-in-law, Tim Helbling, and adored grandson, James Helbling of Lynchburg.
Joyce was born on January 28, 1940 in Bluefield, Va. She spent most of her youth in Bluefield. She lived and worked in Richmond before moving to the Roanoke area in 1968.
Joyce was loved by many friends and extended family. She has three remaining siblings, Barry Sarver of Dryen, Va., William Sarver of Denton, Md. and Millie Sarver Witt of Halifax. Joyce was a loving wife and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was very loyal to her friends and family. She loved cooking and sharing her meals, desserts and preserves with everyone.
A memorial service is scheduled for 12 p.m. Saturday, November 11 at Mill Creek Baptist Church, Fincastle, Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., then immediately following the service a lunch reception will be held in the church’s fellowship hall. Joyce’s brother Barry Sarver will co-officiate the ceremony with JR Graybill and Bob Hetherington. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joyce’s life.
Joyce was a dedicated member of Mill Creek Baptist Church for many years.
