Salem High sophomore Drew Perez will compete in the Virginia High School League Class 4 state singles tennis match on Friday in Newport News. Perez will open with a match against Jamison Wallace, a junior from Powhatan, at 10 am at Huntington Park in Newport News. The other semifinal matches Keean Buirski of Jamestown against Neel Pasunuri of Broad Run. Both are sophomores like Perez. The championship is Saturday at 10 am at Huntington Park.
