The Salem Police Department reported the following people were arrested and charged July 20-August 2. Arrest indicates an accusation, and defendants are presumed innocent unless found guilty in court. Police do not release the names of persons under the age of 18.
Those arrested and their charges were listed as:
July 20 – Noah D. Carroll, 18, indecent liberties with children; Bradford L. Gillis, 51, shoplifting, public intoxication; and John G. Wiley, 30, DUI.
July 22 – Jacklyn R. Manspile, 33, credit card theft, obtain goods by false pretense, fraud-illegal use of credit card; Cynthia E. Howell, 59, attempt to defect drug screening test; and Jessi M. Ridgeway, 39, contempt of court.
July 24 – Brandy N. Davis, 35, failure to appear
July 25 – John T. Leonard, 21, DUI; and Brian W. Sloop, 51, public intoxication.
July 26 – Candice A. Bryant, 29, public intoxication; Brooke M. Lilly, 26, failure to appear; and Joequan M. Vaughn, 33, failure to appear.
July 28 – Jace A. Lee, 20, contempt of court
July 29 – Anthony J. Wade, 64, indecent exposure; and Mitchell F. Howell, 30, shoplifting.
July 30 – Tyrek D. Caldwell, 23, credit card theft, credit card fraud, obtain money by false pretense
July 31 – Jerome C. Hamlett, 44, obtain goods by false pretense
August 1 – Christopher D. Waller, 38, public intoxication
August 2 – Robert M. Caldwell, 39, public intoxication; Tamani N. Manning, 22, public intoxication, failure to appear; Keith T. Hackney, 69, obtain money by false pretense, conceal merchandise; Courtney L. Chastang, 48, burglary, domestic assault and battery; and William E. Bumbry, 31, violation of probation
