The Salem Police Department reported the following people were arrested and charged Dec. 7-13. Arrest indicates an accusation, and defendants are presumed innocent unless found guilty in court. Police do not release the names of persons under the age of 18.
Those arrested and their charges were listed as:
Dec. 7 – Bruce L. Laffoon, 26, sexual battery, contributing to delinquency of minor; and Jeanette E. Wilson, 47, failure to appear.
Dec. 8 – Nancy E. Williams, 54, failure to appear; Brittney G. Simmons, 32, violation of probation; and Buddy L. Lytton, 59, possession of controlled substance, contempt of court, violation of probation.
Dec. 9 – Buddy L. Lytton, 59, obstructing justice; Nancy E. Williams, 54, obstructing justice; and Markee D. Scott, 36, failure to appear; and Joan Smith, 45, shoplifting.
Dec. 13 – Bruce L. Laffoon, 26, sexual assault
