The Salem Police Department reported the following people were arrested and charged between August 29-September 4. Arrest indicates an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent unless found guilty in court. Police do not release the names of persons under the age of 18.
Those arrested and their charges were listed as:
August 29 – Paul Stevenson, 23, robbery
August 30 – Jazmine C. Patrick, 25, possession of stolen property
August 31 – Michael J. Midgett, 44, domestic assault and battery, strangulation
September 1 – Angela M. Cayse, 29, grand larceny; Zachary D. Holt, 35, public intoxication, defrauding an innkeeper
September 2 – Janie L. Doss, 22, domestic assault and battery; Ronald D. Pickard, 44, shoplifting
September 3 – Dakota A. Carrington, 46, conditional release violation; Michael P. Trussell, 37, domestic assault and battery; Karen R. Barton, 45, public intoxication, assault on a police officer; Thurman E. Ayers, 28, possession of marijuana
September 4 – Seth L. McDaniels, 35, possession of a controlled substance; Donnie L. Hartsock, 59, unreasonable refusal; Kevin M. Reustle, 25, contributing to the delinquency of a minor

August 29 – Grand larceny, 100 block of Rutledge Drive
August 31 – Possession of a controlled substance, 1600 block of Lancing Drive; strangulation, 1000 block of W. Riverside Drive
September 1 – Burglary, 800 block of Elizabeth Avenue
September 2 – Shoplifting, 100 block of Electric Road
