Rebecca “Becky” Faries Pollard, 73, of Salem passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Becky was born on December 21, 1950 to the late Robert and Ruth Faries of Salem, Virginia.
Becky will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother “Grammy”, who always put her family above all else. She was a successful business owner and active in many charitable causes.
Those left to cherish and celebrate her memories are her husband of 54 years, Richard H. Pollard; her daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Jason Paxton; son and daughter-in-law, Drew and Heather Pollard; and her five grandchildren who she absolutely adored…Liam, Ava, Owen, Lily, and Scarlett. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Robbie and CQ Williamson, her brother-in-law and his wife, Bob and Denise Pollard; her nephew and his wife, Matt and Andi Pollard, her niece and her husband, Tracy and Josh Hale, her niece and her husband, Lee and Jeff Cramer; her beloved English Bulldog, Ruby Rose; along with many other relatives and friends who she loved dearly.
In honoring Becky’s legacy, may we all strive to emulate her kindness, empathy, caring, and try to “pay it forward.” Though she may no longer walk beside us, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to us all.
