Freshman Parker Blosser of the Roanoke College men’s cross-country team has been selected as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Runner of the Week.
Blosser earns the accolade after pacing the Maroons at the Queen City Invite with a time of 25:47.08 in the 8k race. His performance placed him eighth in the RC cross country record book. Blosser also finished 50th in a 236-person field that consisted mainly of DI and DII programs.
The Weyers Cave, VA product joins his fellow freshman Shane Stevens in having earned weekly honors so far this season. Blosser and the cross-country teams are back on the course on Oct. 3 when they travel to Lehigh University for the Paul Short Run.
