RC Swimmers sweep B’water

The Roanoke College women’s swimming team defeated Bridgewater College Saturday afternoon on Senior Day, while the Maroon men tied the Eagles.

The women’s team had 11 first-place finishes. Women’s winners included the 200 medley and 200 free relays, Julianna Morrow in the 100 and 200 back, Halle Schart in the 200 free and 200 IM, Carter Satterfield in the 500 and 1,000 free, Kate Pearson in the 100 and 200 breast and Claire Ballard in the 100 free.

The RC men won six evenets. Tyler Hill won the 100 and 200 butterfly, Ryan Franceys won the 200 and 500 free, Peyton Meyer won the 1,000 free and the 200 free relay team of Dyllan Hartman, Regan Euker, Franceys and Hill won the race in 1:27.95.

Roanoke travels to Southern Virginia University in Buena Vista this Saturday.
