RC Volley Home Friday

The Roanoke College volleyball team will have a home match this Friday when the University of Lynchburg Hornets come to town. The first serve is scheduled for 6:30 pm at the Cregger Center in Salem.

The Maroons are 9-10 overall and 4-5 in the ODAC after dropping a marathon match to Randolph College in Salem last Saturday. The Hornets pulled out a five setter, 24-26, 25-19, 19-25, 25-17 and 15-12.

Danica Taylor accumulated 13 kills and nine digs for the Maroons while Emma Catoe also had 13 kills and four blocks. Kaci Morrison hit nine kills with five blocks and eight digs, Sidney Alumbaugh had seven kills and Anastazja Arvan had six. Makenzie Board had a match-high 43 assists with 15 digs and Teagan Hubble added 14 digs.

After Friday the Maroons head to Greensboro next Wednesday to play Guilford in an ODAC match.
