Practices for Salem Recreation sports began this week at various locations around the city. This year there will be no tackle football due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the recreation department is offering flag football for all ages. There will be 12 total teams divided into 8-U, 10-U and 12-U leagues. Salem will also have the normal soccer and cheerleading sports, with the cheerleaders cheering for the flag teams.
