The much-anticipated “Salem After Five” concert series is back in 2025 at the Salem Farmers Market. This year’s lineup includes a mix of new bands and some all-time favorites. Each concert also will feature a variety of culinary options and several worthwhile charitable organizations. On April 25, “Empty Bottles,” a yacht rock and retro cover band, will perform the season opening concert in Downtown Salem. The remainder of the star-studded 2025 lineup features “Phelgar Hill Band,” “The Kings,” “Matt Tucker” and “Blackwater.”

Gates open for each performance at 5 p.m. and the shows will last until 9 p.m. Patrons are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs or a blanket and support our vendors and non-profits. Food from local vendors, children’s activities, and adult beverages from P.A. Short will be available. Tickets are still just $5 for adults and all those 12-and-under are admitted free. Once again, all proceeds from the concerts will benefit several worthwhile charities throughout Salem and Virginia’s Blue Ridge region.

This year’s charities include Masterpiece Alliance, 24153 Club, Salem Sports Foundation, Kiwanis Club of Salem and Salem-Roanoke County Food Pantry.

The Salem Farmers Market is located on the corner of Main and Broad streets and “Salem After Five” is presented by the City of Salem Parks and Recreation Department and sponsored by Pinnacle Financial Partners and Pepsi. Coolers, outside food, drinks, rollerblades, skateboards and pets are not allowed on the premises. For additional information, call Salem Parks and Recreation at 540-375-3057.
