The Salem High girls’ basketball team will return from the holiday break next Tuesday, January 2, with a home game against Hidden Valley.
The girls have 10 days off over the break. Their last game was Friday, December 22, when they traveled to Christiansburg and lost, 77-34. The loss dropped Salem to 2-5 on the season.
The leading scorer for Salem was Maddie Hall with eight points. Freshman McKenzie Moran had six, Azyah Burnette had five and Alla Daniel and Denejia Hampton had four points each.
Christiansburg scored 52 points in the first half in improving to 4-2 on the season.
