Junior Trey Joyce was second at 73 and two girls followed, sophomore Taylor Davis at 76 and Johnson at 77. In the first two matches six different Salemites were among the top four for Salem.
“We have more depth than we’ve had in a long time,” said Salem coach Thad Snyder. “We’re blessed.”
Hidden Valley High won the first River Ridge match with a 289. Salem finished at 293, and the Spartans are back at Hidden Valley CC next Tuesday, August 17.
