The Salem cheerleaders finished second in Region 4D at Jefferson Forest.

The post-season cheer season is here and the Salem High team has already punched their ticket to the state competition while Glenvar is hoping to join them this weekend.

The Salem cheerleaders finished second in the Region 4D cheer competition last Saturday at Jefferson Forest High School, and that qualifies them for the state Class 4 event. That will be held at the Siegel Center on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond on November 8th.

Glenvar will be hosting the Region 2C cheer competition this Saturday in the GHS gym, beginning at 3 pm. There will be 10 teams competing and the top two will advance to the Class 2 state championship in Richmond, also on November 8th.
