Salem and Glenvar teams will be competing in Sandlot Super Bowl Tournament quarterfinals this Saturday at three locations in Roanoke County. The semifinals are October 25 and the Super Bowl finals are November 1 at Salem Stadium.

The 8U quarterfinals will be held at Northside High this Saturday. The Salem(Kesler) team will play a Botetourt team at 10:15 am and the Glenvar(DeHart) team will play North Roanoke at 9 am. Last Saturday at Bogle Field Glenvar beat the Salem(Chaney) team, 13-0, to advance to the quarterfinal round.

The 10U quarterfinal games are at Bogle Stadium behind Cave Spring Middle School on Saturday. At 10:15 am the Glenvar(Edmonds) team will take on Salem(Abbott), followed by Salem(Wininger) against the winner of a Tuesday game between Botetourt and Franklin County.

The 12U games are at Highlander Stadium at Glenvar and it’s a seven team bracket with top-seeded Franklin County getting a bye. The Salem team, coached by Mike Jones, will play North Roanoke at 10:15 am. Glenvar does not have a 12U team.
