Virginia Western Educational Foundation announces fall 2022 scholarship recipients

ROANOKE – The Virginia Western Community College Educational Foundation announces that it awarded $160,762 in general scholarships to 107 students attending the fall 2022 semester at Virginia Western Community College.

The scholarship application for the spring 2023 semester is open until Oct. 31 at: https://www.virginiawestern.edu/scholarships/.

The following local students received a scholarship from the Virginia Western Education Foundation for this fall: Ryan Crouch, of Salem, received the Richard J. Gaynor Memorial Scholarship, Nicolette Foss, of Salem, received the Dr. Donna Harpold Memorial Annual Scholarship, Cordell Haynes, of Salem, received the Fred Whitaker Company Annual Scholarship, Rose Joy, of Salem, received the Nicholas E. Janney Memorial Endowed Scholarship, Regan Laughlin, of Salem, received the Fralin Futures STEM-H Scholarship, Sean Laughlin, of Salem, received the Down Syndrome Association of Roanoke Annual Scholarship and John Morris Roslyn Educational Scholarship, Kyleigh Smithey, of Salem, received the Beverly Day Williamson, Jr. Endowed Scholarship, Adam Warren, of Salem, received the J.K. and Donna Speas Annual Scholarship and Connor Weeks, of Salem, received the Fralin & Waldron, Inc. Endowed Scholarship in Memory of Craig E. Vai.
