The Andrew Lewis Middle School eighth grade football team will wrap up their season at home on Wednesday of this week when the Wolverines host Pulaski. The Wolverines improved to 6-1-1 on the season last week with a 26-12 win over Northside Middle at Salem Stadium.
Running backs Zyere Richardson and Ian Rosier rushed for touchdowns against Northside while receiver Carter Webb received a touchdown pass from quarterback Pearce Oliver. The Wolverine defense was led by the defensive line of Ernest Burke, Elijah Regan, Ryan Borzotra, Grant Martin, Maddox Saunders and Tyler Coe. Webb also made numerous tackles and intercepted a Northside pass.
The Lewis seventh grade team finishes today, Thursday, with an away game at Central Academy.
