Gators have final home swim meet on Monday

The Stonegate Swim team will be back home next Monday, July 11, to host the Ashley Plantation team in the final home meet of the season.
Salem was at Castle Rock on Tuesday of this week, swimming a day later than usual with the 4th of July falling on a Monday. Last week the Gators played host to Read Mountain and remained undefeated in RVAA action with a 1,233 to 1,063 win.
Highlights included River Whitt with a first bronze in the 25 butterfly for six and under swimmers. In the 7-8 division Barrett Putman took first bronze in both the boys’ 25 breaststroke and 25 fly while Izzy Supinach took first gold in the 25 breast and first silver in the 25 butterfly. Isaac Now won first gold in the 13-14 boys’ 50 breast.
The Hidden Valley County Club team played host to Ashley Plantation this week and will be at Read Mountain next week. Strokes for July 11 include 25 free and 25 breast for 6&under and 7-8 year old swimmers, 50 free and 100 individual medley for nine years old and up and 200 medley relay for 9-12 year old swimmers.
