The Glenvar Middle School football team shut out Carroll County last week, 20-0, in Hillsville to run their record to 4-1 on the season.
“The Highlanders put together an outstanding team performance from start to finish,” said coach Raysean Priest. “Once again, the defense stepped up big.”
Kayden Williams found the end zone twice for the Highlanders. Kendrix Thompson broke loose for a huge run and took it all the way to the house for another Highlander touchdown.
“It was a total team effort, and everyone played a great game,” said Priest. “The Highlanders are playing tough, playing together and building momentum.”
Glenvar is scheduled to play at Central Academy today. The next home game is Sept. 17 against Radford.
