The Andrew Lewis Middle School football team remained undefeated and unscored upon with a 54-0 victory over the Eagles of Hidden Valley Middle School last Wednesday.
The offense was led by the future “Mules” of Kaden Hughes, Grayson Lavinder, Jaxson Cooner, Cam Martin, Sam Gillespie and Alden Sowers. The offensive line blocked well led to touchdowns by Aaron Brower, Mayson Henderson, Liam Park, Junior Crawford and Graham Pollard. Josh Elliott and Brycen Wright ran the ball well and quarterback Maclin Hale had a good game throwing the football.
The defense was outstanding once again, allowing just two first downs. The defensive players performing well were Landynn Booth, Tyrstan Gaines, C.J. Goins, Adrian Simmons, Eli King, Michael Lewis, Luca Smith and Mark Salinas.
The Wolverines will put their unbeaten record on the line today when they play Read Mountain, who is also undefeated, at Salem Stadium at 5 p.m..
The Lewis seventh grade team was in action last Thursday, losing to Radford Middle, 34-22, in a high scoring game.
