The Roanoke College field hockey team evened its record at 2-2 with a win over Kenyon College on Sunday. The Maroons scored in the last minute of play for a 1-0 win at The Field at Benson Bowl in Gambier, Ohio.
Merrin Vespucci Paxson scored her second goal of the season in the final minute of the game off a deflection in front of the goal. Chloe Miller recorded the clean sheet in goal, facing only two shots in the win. RC had the advantage in shots, 10-2, and penalty corners, 6-1.
RC is home Sunday to host Goucher in its home opener at noon.
