The Salem Police Department reported the following people were arrested and charged between May 9-15. Arrest indicates an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent unless found guilty in court. Police do not release the names of persons under the age of 18.

May 9 – Joshua E. Thompson, 26, shoplifting; Peggy J. Harper, 38, assault and battery; Kimberly S. Weese, 38, shoplifting; Michael C. Brein, 54, public intoxication; Beth C. Brown, 51, domestic assault and battery; Roi O’Neil, 58, trespassing on railroad train
May 10 – Jason C. Dickerson, grand larceny; Christina M. Felmey, 45, embezzlement; Gregory L. Brown, 46, shoplifting; Jonathan C. Ogochukwu, 64, driving after forfeiture of license
May 112 – Hugh A. Kiser, 51, interdicted person
May 12 – Tyler M. Ball, 19, unauthorized use of a vehicle
May 13 – Larry O. Guthrie, 52, public intoxication; Joshua K. Glover, 28, assault and battery, strangulation, contributing to the delinquency of a minor (2 charges), public intoxication; Sherise D. Hall, 43, shoplifting; Jeremy C. Chastang, 46, driving under the influence
May 14 — Maximiliano P. Escobar, 30, domestic assault and battery; Vernon J. Johnson Jr., 31, petit larceny; Zachary R. Hartwell, 19, possession of marijuana
May 15 – Wesley D. Cox, failure to appear; William S. Goad, 33, failure to appear
