William Robert “Bobby” Webber, 78, of Salem and formerly of Low Moor, gained his wings on Monday, November 6, 2017, at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.

He was born October 16, 1939, in Clifton Forge to the late Harry Ray and Elizabeth Mildred Taylor Webber. He was an extraordinary man who loved and helped everyone, especially his family. He was a member of the Salem Presbyterian Church and a member of a scanner club with friends. Working in hydraulics all his life, Bob’s training started at Westvaco in Covington. He was currently an engineer at Salem Hydraulics.

Bob is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Jeanette Coulson Webber; two daughters Vicki (Terry) and Cathy; son Mike; three grandchildren, Matthew, Adam and Piper; two sisters; three nephews and special friend, Burt Taylor.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 9, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge. It was officiated by Reverend Lisa Marshall. And interment followed at Sunrise Cemetery in Low Moor. Pallbearers were selected from friends and family who attended the service. The family received friends on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home. A memorial service will be conducted at Salem Presbyterian Church at a later date.
