67th Annual Ernest “Pig” Robertson event
The City of Salem Parks & Recreation Department is all set to host the 67th annual Ernest “Pig” Robertson Fishing Rodeo at Lake Spring Park on the following dates:
Children Ages 3-8 Saturday, April 21 9 a.m. – Noon
Children Ages 9-12 Saturday, April 28 9 a.m. – Noon (No Rain Dates for These Two Events)
Special Needs Children Day Monday, April 23 10 a.m. – Noon
Nursing Home Patients Day Wednesday, April 25 10 a.m. – Noon
(Special Needs Rain Date is April 24 – Nursing Home Rain Date is April 26)
The City of Salem Parks and Recreation Department presents this free event and pre-registration is not required. The Salem Kiwanis Club, Scooter Darnell with Re/Max-Real Estate One, the Salem Red Sox, Frito Lay and P.A. Short Distributing are sponsoring this year’s rodeo. Many businesses in the community also have donated prizes and money to help make this event such a success in past years. The top angler will receive a trophy and prizes will be awarded throughout each day.
