The Glenvar track team had a busy week as the spring season heats up, including a first place finish for the boys at Giles last week. The girls were second in a meet that included Narrows, James River, Alleghany, Glenvar and host Giles.

“The highlight of the meet was our big man 4×100 relay that took first,” said coach Neil Swanson. “That group consisted of Blake Custer, Mitch Winters, Jakob Hale, and Chris Herrington.”

Glenvar competed in the All-American Relays at Radford last Friday. Kilian McCroskey took third overall in the 400 and state qualified.  Jack Leonard was fourth in the 300 hurdles and he state qualified as well while  Dustin Wade was sixth in the 800.

Glenvar is in the Buffalo Classic at Floyd County this Friday.
