Dave Koehn, Director of Broadcasting for the University of Virginia and play-by-play announcer for the football, men’s basketball and baseball teams, will be the featured speaker at the Roanoke Valley Sports Club meeting on Tuesday, May 15, at the Salem Civic Center.  Meeting activities begin at 5:45 pm with the dinner at 6:00 pm.

Known as the “Voice of the Cavaliers” since he joined The Virginia Sports Properties in 2006, Koehn graduated from the University of Kansas in Broadcast Journalism, where he got his first job as a sportscaster.  Then he spent four years as the sports voice of Sam Houston State University.

Prior to becoming the “Voice of the Cavaliers”, he was the “Voice” of the Texas Lutheran University and the University of Vermont.
