Fellowship Community Church sent 11 members to Life Unlimited Orphanage in Guatemala during the last week of June. The team planted a crop that is used to feed cattle as part of a self-sustainability project. They provided a community outreach for children in the local village surrounding the Orphanage. They painted the living quarters of the boys and girls homes. Three days of training in caring for children of trauma was also provided to the caregivers. One of the highlights of the trip was a foot washing service for the caregivers to symbolize the respect that Fellowship has for the work the caregivers do every day in service of the vulnerable children at the orphanage. An underlying principle of each of FCC’s visits for the past six years is to establish meaningful relationships with the children that will convey the love of Jesus and the value of every child. It is through these authentic, long-term relationships that they learn and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
