Salem Children’s Librarian Emily Metrock (front left) hosted the Salem City Sheriff’s Department for Storytime on July 12.

Master Deputy Johnny Branson (standing center) read a story to the 87 patrons, both children and adults, who attended the event. Sheriff April Staton (kneeling) explained the duties of the Sheriff’s Department. Chief Deputy Todd Clingenpeel (back left) greeted the children who were allowed to sit in the Sheriff’s car during their visit.
