The James I. Moyer Complex in Salem played host to the USA Softball U-14 National Tournament last weekend as 38 teams from all over the United States competed for the crown. The winner of the tournament was Georgia Impact, who beat the Corona Angels of California in the championship. A USA Softball Eastern Region Tournament for U-18 girls was also held and the Carolina Cardinals East team won that title. This weekend weekend the Moyer Complex will host the Freedom Sports VA Slow Pitch State Tournament on Saturday and Sunday.
