Andrew Lewis and Glenvar went head-to-head in middle school sports last week with Lewis winning two games, Glenvar winning one and the other coming out a tie.
In baseball the Wolverines beat Glenvar at Kiwanis Field, 10-1. Micah West pitched a no hitter with no walks in his mound debut for Lewis. He struck out four while using 65 pitches for a complete game win.
In softball the Highlanders took a 16-15 win in a slugfest.
Lewis won the girls’ soccer game, 4-0, on the field behind Glenvar High. Aly Price had three goals and Laikyn Funk had one.
The boys’ soccer game ended up in a scoreless tie on the field behind Andrew Lewis Middle School.
The Lewis teams will take on Ben Franklin today with the softball and girls’ soccer teams at home and the baseball and boys’ soccer teams in Rocky Mount.
