AL has home track meet today

The Andrew Lewis track teams competed against Cave Spring middle school last Wednesday, April 25, at Cave Spring High School and had some good performances.

Multiple event winner Zariah Sanders led the girls. Zariah won the 100 and the 200 meter dashes along with the long and triple jumps.  Ashlin Hudson won the 100 meter hurdles.

The 400 meter relay team of Sanders, Hudson, Genelle Balthazar and Jerni Allen took first to remain undefeated.  Calia Sanders won the 400 meters while Quinn Bowen took the shot and the discus.  Aubrey Snead, Ashlyn Davis, Ayden Ruley, Jocelyn Thomas, London Fralin, Skyler Crotts, Purvi Bhagat were all on winning relay teams.

The boys team was led by Brodie Dawyot, who won the shot put. Trey Dawyot won the 400 meters for the second week in a row.  Coen Logan was the winner in the high jump, while Dylan Pugh took the 300 meter hurdles.  Cannon Migliarese, Dylan Williams, Zach Cowell, Grafton Smith, David Cruz, Thomas Sharpe, and Isaac Snow were all on winning relays.

The Wolverines have a home meet scheduled for today against Glenvar and Pulaski.
