Isaac Wolfe of Roanoke College (#9) blows by a Bridgewater opponent in Saturday’s 1-0 win over the Eagles in the ODAC tournament.

The Roanoke College men’s soccer team advanced to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament semifinals with a win over Bridgewater in the quarterfinal round of play. The Maroons took a 1-0 win at Kerr Stadium in Salem Saturday.
With the win the Maroons advance to the semifinal round, scheduled for Wednesday of this week. Roanoke, the fourth seed in the tournament, even gets a home game as eighth seeded Hampden-Sydney upset top-seeded Lynchburg, 1-0, in another quarterfinal game so Roanoke gets to host the Tigers. Had the Hornets won the Maroons would be going to Lynchburg.
In the other quarterfinal games second seeded Washington & Lee defeated seventh seeded Guilford, 7-0, and third seeded Virginia Wesleyan beat sixth seeded Randolph-Macon, 2-1 in two overtimes. W&L will host Virginia Wesleyan in the other semifinal Wednesday and the championship game will be Saturday at a time to be determined at the site of the W&L-Virginia Wesleyan winner.
The Maroons are 9-6-2 overall after Saturday’s win. After a scoreless first half it didn’t take long in the second half for the Maroons to score the game-winner. Liam Camilleri headed in a misplayed rebound off the Eagles goalie for the game’s only goal and the 1-0 lead at 53:56.
Zach Behe played all 90 minutes in goal for the Maroons to record the shutout.
