Interstate 81 through the Salem and Roanoke County area was busy on Memorial Day. AAA noted ahead of the holiday that 37.1 million individuals were expected to travel by car over the holiday weekend. This is a 6% increase from last year. Pictured is exit 137 on Monday afternoon.
